Hi Rivermist,
We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with you all. The staff has been great and very helpful over the phone and in person. Tucker is a pretty emotional dog- the first year of his life was spent on the street and in and out of high-kill shelters. We were his first “permanent” owners. Because of this I was very nervous leaving him at a kennel while we left town the first time. Your informative website and kind staff made me feel much comfortable. However, it wasn’t until I picked him up and saw how healthy and happy he looked that I realized I had left him in the hands of truly special people.Rivermist Kennels is by far the most welcoming and comfortable kennel I have seen. The lack of cages is what originally attracted me to drive past many others to bring Tucker to you. I have highly recommended you all to some of my friends and will continue to. Thank you for your excellent service to my dog and his family.

Rex enjoyed his stay and was happy to return home. We have other choices for kennels near our home, but we will continue to go the extra distance for your care. We appreciated the walk through of the kennels and that rex was able to share a space with another dog. It is the little things that count in caring for your pets.Thank you,

We were VERY pleased with the accomodations for Perry! The staff, both on the phone and at the front desk were very hospitable. A truly wonderful experience for our “little prince”.
We will definitely use your facility in the future and make recommendations to our friends who need to board their pet!

Thank you for the email, but I have no complaints about Isis’ stay at your kennel. She seemed well fed and happy when I picked her up so I thisn you guys did a great job. Thank you for taking such good care of her, especially with recent surgery she had.

Brooklyn will be back! The place is so clean, and the dogs are happy. The grounds are lovely. It’s an hour drive for me, but worth it. I will happily recommend Rivermist Kennnels.

Thank you for the opportunity to give you some honest feedback. Popper arrived home clean, happy and tired! The staff who picked her up and brought her home were friendly, professional and warm. Popper is very social, and I’m so happy she was able to socialize with other dogs on her playdates. She might be 11, but she loves to play! We are very pleased with the care she received, and the care we received! Popper will definitely be returning to Rivermist Kennels. We will definitely recommend your kennel to our friends.

I was very happy with your service. Biscuit was healthy when I picked him up. He also had a bath when he was with you and I was very pleased with how clean and shiny his coat was. I was wondering what shampoo you use. I will recommend you to my friends and will bring Biscuit back in the future.

Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion of the care Ginger received at Rivermist Kennels. From the moment we picked up Ginger, we could tell that she had been receiving very good care. Ever since her stay at Rivermist, she seems more socialized and less anxious around other dogs when we take her out on her walks in the neighborhood. This is the first time we have seen this much of a behavior change in Ginger and we attribute it to her stay there. We also changed her diet to the IAMS brand and she seems to not mind that change. Overall, we are very glad we chose to bring her to Rivermist.

Hi, your staff was wonderful with our hamster Francesca. She need medication, and your staff called on the second night to tell us her face looked swollen on one side and perhaps she was having an allergic reaction to the medication. Now THAT is excellent service from very caring people. Thank you for the opportunity to say what an excellent staff you have. And, thank you all for taking such good care of out little girl.

Your kennel is the only one where our dog Lucky was happy to go, which says a lot. It is more difficult to know with cats. Cassata and Ying Yang did not seem traumatized by their experience and they behaved fairly normally when coming back home. In other terms, everything went well and we are happy with your services, as usual. Your personnel is always courteous and pleasant to work with, and obviously do like animals. I am sure that the cats were well treated and they should be back at the end of next week.

Sasha seemed happy and well taken care of when I picked her up. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and though I didn”t have time for a tour of the facility, as I would have liked beforehand, they made me feel confident Sasha would be in good hands while I was away. I would definitely bring her again without hesitation and recommend her to others. Very affordable prices too, so overall, I’m quite pleased!

Being new to the area, it was hard to decide on a place to board my dogs. I Am glad that I settled on Rivermist because I thing both dogs really enjoyed it. I plan on using Rivermist next time I need to take a trip out of DC.
