A Short History

Rivermist Kennels was built in 1969 by the owner, Barry Goodman, who resides on the property. A Washington native, Mr. Goodman has been raising and showing dogs, Cocker Spaniels, Old English Sheepdogs, Labrador Retrievers and now Gordon Setters, since he was a child. The site was specially selected by Mr. Goodman for it's ideal location for the kind of dog kennel he could not find to board dogs like his own while travelling. He has created the type of boarding kennel where he could, and does happily, leave his own dogs knowing they will be given the best of care.
