THERE ARE NO CAGES!
Indoor quarters are separated from each other by solid masonry walls, so pets can relax without being disturbed by more active neighbors. Similarly, there are solid divider walls between each outside run. 
The kennel buildings are equipped with electric air purifiers and are fully climate controlled, summer and winter, by seven separate heating and air conditioning systems. Indoor kennels and outdoor runs are cleaned and disinfected twice daily. A very important feature of Rivermist is that for security, all outdoor runs are covered and the entire kennel complex is fenced. The owner lives on the property.
Many dogs, when away from home, derive comfort and enjoyment from the companionship of another dog. The pens are roomy so that your pet can be paired with a new friend of similar age, size, temperament and activity level. This is especially
beneficial for puppies and very aged dogs.

CAT ROOM
Rivermist provides a secure and quiet climate-controlled environment for your cat, apart from the dog kennel and tailored to the special needs of our feline guests. Each kitty has its private enclosure, with a litter box and soft bed. The enclosures are cleaned and disinfected daily. Each cat is given a daily turn in a special area where it can jump and climb, run and play. We use the Science Diet line of cat foods.

Vet Warranty
There is a $5.00 charge per stay for a vet warranty. This charge is applied to each pet boarded with us and will cover any vet bill up to $250.00 while your pet is in our care and for 5 days afterwards for any kennel related illness.
